The present invention relates to a method to determine an abnormal state of a waterjet nozzle, classifying the abnormal state of the waterjet nozzle into each damage type to discriminate the abnormal state. According to the present invention, the method comprises: a signal reception step of receiving a sound signal measured in the waterjet nozzle; and a discrimination step of discriminating damage of the nozzle by the received sound signal. In the discrimination step, when a root mean square (RMS) value of the received sound signal is larger than a first setting value which is a case when only high pressure water is supplied to the nozzle, and is smaller than a second setting value, which is a normal state, a first abnormal state uniformly extending an inner diameter of the nozzle is determined.
