За счет использования длин волн ближнего ИК-диапазона происходит контрастная визуализация вен, так как свет с длиной волны более 700 нм проникает глубже в кожу. При этом ближний ИК-свет минимально поглощается меланином (высокомолекулярный пигмент кожи), но сильно поглощается кровью в венах. Это позволяет дифференцировать кровеносные сосуды и окружающие ткани. В частности, ближний ИК-свет, попадающий на участок тела человека, поглощается кровеносными сосудами. Чем больше ближний ИК-свет поглощается, тем меньше происходит его отражение, которое фиксирует ИК-камера. Чем меньше поглощают ближний ИК-свет окружающие ткани, тем больше они его отражают. Medication management and reporting technology, in which output from at least one sensor configured to sense physical activity in a building in which medication of a patient is located is monitored and a determination is made to capture one or more images of the medication based on the monitoring. A camera is used to capture an image of the medication and the captured image is analyzed to detect a state of the medication. Information regarding a schedule by which the medication should be taken by the patient is accessed and an expected state of the medication is determined. The detected state is compared with the expected state and a determination is made that the patient has departed from the schedule based on the comparison revealing that the detected state does not match the expected state. A message indicating the departure from the schedule is sent based on the determination.

A hub receives and processes data from the applied-force-recording interface and the dynamic sEMG device. A visual display displays the processed data from the hub.

A method and system are provided for determining a condition of a selected region of epithelial and stromal tissue in the human breast. A plurality of measuring electrodes are used to measure the tissue and transepithelial electropotential of breast tissue. Surface electropotential and impedance are also measured at one or more locations. An agent may be introduced into the region of tissue to enhance electrophysiological characteristics. The condition of the tissue is determined based on the electropotential and impedance profile at different depths of the epithelium, stroma, tissue, or organ, together with an estimate of the functional changes in the epithelium due to altered ion transport and electrophysiological properties of the tissue. Devices for practicing the disclosed methods are also provided.

The real-time data is detected by pressure sensors, which is installed within insoles in a pair of shoes of the user, and sent to the electronic device via a wireless communication module installed in the insoles or the shoes. The electronic device then generates a real-time image in relation to real-time plantar pressure distributions of the user according to the real-time data, compares the real-time image with a pre-stored image stored in a storage device, and determines if a comparison result satisfies a preset requirement. The pre-stored image is in relation to standard plantar pressure distributions produced from a standard walking style. If the comparison result does not satisfy the preset requirement, the electronic device displays alert information via an output device to prompt the user to adjust the user's walking style.

Described herein are implantable systems, and methods for use therewith, to predict whether ventricular tachycardia (VT) or ventricular fibrillation (VF) is imminent, estimate ischemic burden and/or characterize an electrical substrate of the LV chamber. For each of a plurality of cardiac cycles, a pacing vector comprising a first set of electrodes is used to deliver a pre-pacing pulse at a site within the LV chamber (wherein the pre-pacing pulse is delivered prior to an intrinsic activation of the LV chamber), and a sensing vector comprising a second set of electrodes is used to detect an evoked response to the pre-pacing pulse. The detected evoked responses to the pre-pacing pulses are analyzed, and results of the analysis are used predict whether VT or VF is imminent, estimate ischemic burden and/or characterize an electrical substrate of the LV chamber.
