The usual pivots are dispensed with, enabling the light to be turned about any axis. The outer frame a and also the inner frame b are provided with spherical surfaces c, d, as shown. To enable the light to be inserted into the frame a, a segmental portion of the frame is removable, being secured by screws after the light b is in position. The locking-ring h when in position keeps the light b closed, but when turned down enables the light to be opened about any axis. In modifications the frame a is divided in a plane containing the centre of the spherical surfaces, the inner portion being movable to act as a locking or clamping ring. Dead-lights may also be fitted.

A fiberglass pontoon boat, having raised and integrated fiberglass side rails, a flat floor, and a side entry level with the flat floor. Integrated seats are molded in fiberglass. The hull and deck join together by flexing the hull to compensate for opposing draft angles of the hull and deck at the side entry. The deck has a floor and at least one other interior component, and terminates in a deck trim flange. The hull has at least two hollow pontoons and at least two side rails that extend from an outer edge of the pontoons, and the hull terminates in a hull trim flange. When assembled, the hull trim flange operatively engages beneath the deck trim flange to form a unified pontoon boat having a space between the deck and hull and wherein the side rails are integrated as structural parts of the interior component.

FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to research, rescue and special vessels - carriers of deep-water technology. The carrier vessel of autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles (AUUV) contains a hull equipped with a stern superstructure, on board of which at least six hatchways are made, located in two tiers on each side of the superstructure. The lateral ports are hermetically sealed and equipped with two retractable crane beams for loading and lifting operations with the AUUV. In the center plane of the vessel, in the stern superstructure in the area of the middle vertical row of gate ports, a cargo elevator for the AUUV is installed, which ensures the movement of the elevator car from the lower deck of the vessel to the deck of the upper row of gate ports. The elevator cabin is equipped with four doors, which provide the ability to move large AUUV in all directions on any tier of the gate ports to the container deck of the vessel. In the diametrical plane of the vessel in the stern superstructure in the area of the vertical row of hatches, closer to the bow end of the vessel in the decks of each tier of the superstructure and in its roof, double-leaf hatches are made on the same vertical, through which in the superstructure of the vessel during loading/unloading of small and medium AUUV in containers a loading shaft is formed by the simultaneous opening of all double-leaf hatches. A watertight door system for a marine vessel comprises a door and a door frame having a threshold. A circumferential seal is around an opening of the door frame closed by the door. The seal is formed between seal components of the door and seal components of the door frame. The frame is adapted for connection to the bulkhead and comprises two sides, a top member and a floor trough. Means are provided to press the door against the frame when the door is in a closed position. The trough has a floor plate substantially flush with a top edge of the trough, which floor plate is adapted to form a floor panel of the floor of the vessel, with said trough received in an aperture of the floor. The trough has a lid to close the trough, at least when the door is in an open position, so that the floor is rendered substantially level through the door aperture. The seal may extend along the lid (in the case of a pivoting door) or in the trough, in the case of a sliding door.

In a shock-secure door or hatch arrangement on marine ships, a doorway frame, on two opposite longitudinal edges thereof, has continuous latching bars that are receivable in corresponding grooves in opposite edges of a door in order to latch the door in a closed position. The latching bar on the hinged edge of the doorway frame is stationary and engages into the associated door edge groove during a closing motion of the door.
