Separation of the stacks is provided by a plurality of fingers mounted to carriages that are moved into and out of openings the stream of interfolded sheets. The openings may be formed without using the force of gravity. Further, the fingers may be inserted into the openings with a motion that has a larger component in a direction parallel to the stream of interfolded sheets than in a direction perpendicular to the stream of interfolded sheets. When the rear pressing plate is lowered opposite a stack of blanks to be grasped, a slight depression (52) is created, whereby it is then possible to slip the front end of the lower pressing plate under the stack in order grasp it by raising the lower pressing plate and pressing the stack against the upper pressing plate. The claw is intended to be integrated in a depalletizer feeding a packing machine, particularly a machine making packs in the tobacco industry, especially packs of cigarettes. A plurality of such claws may be mounted side by side for grasping a whole row of stacks of blanks simultaneously. A sweeper device (36) mounted on each rear pressing plate allows the entire top layer of rows of stacks to be pushed back when the depalletizer detects that the row to be grasped is the first one of the layer, in order to form a ledge necessary for creating the aforementioned depression.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for automatically loading rubber sheets (s). A conventional rubber sheet loading apparatus additionally requires a lifting apparatus for lowering a pallet (p) in order to smoothly drive left and right pressing units when the loaded height of the rubber sheets (s) on another pallet (P) increases, thereby making the structure complex and increasing the manufacturing costs. According to the present invention, the apparatus for automatically loading a rubber sheet includes: a frame (101); a movable support rail structure (110); a movable support (120); a pallet (20); a movable support driving means (122); a pallet lifting support (130); a pair of rails (154); a ball screw (151); a sheet moving device unit (160); left and right pressing plates (170, 180); and a control unit (200). According to the present invention, the apparatus can load the rubber sheets (s) in zigzags by moving the rubber sheets (s) on an x-axis or a y-axis and shaking the rubber sheets (s) to the left and right in a wig-wag manner on the pallet (20) as well as aligning both edge parts of the rubber sheets (s) by pressing the rubber sheets (s) with the pressing plates (170, 180).
