The reliability of the counting results can be improved by processing the counting results for forming a combined counting result that provides a more reliable counting result when the independent counts deviate from each other. 1. A computerized system of performing fish census which otherwise requires high level of domain knowledge and expertise is described. Divers with minimal knowledge of fish can obtain high quality population and species distribution measurements using a stereo camera rig and fish video analyzer software that was developed. The system has two major components: a camera rig and software for fish size, density and biomass estimation. The camera rig consists of a simple stand on which one to four pairs of stereo cameras are mounted to take videos of the benthic floor for a few minutes. The collected videos are uploaded to a server which performs stereo analysis and image recognition. The software produces video clips containing estimates of fish size, density and species biodiversity and a log report containing information about the individual fishes for further end user analysis.

The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for counting banknotes including proving a stack of banknotes (20) including at least one surface defined by edges of the banknotes and counting the number of banknotes in the stack using at least one optical sensor (50) and a light source (30) characterized in that the mutual orientation of the banknotes is substantially maintained relative to the at least one optical sensor, the counting step including employing the at least one optical sensor for generally simultaneously viewing at least two separate columns along the at least one surface and receiving an output from the at least one optical sensor and providing an output indication of a number of banknotes in the stack.

A printed circuit board (130), an induction coil (140), a display means (150), and a rechargeable battery (160) are arranged in the main body (120). The induction coil (140) wound in multiple layers to be formed in a disk shape is mounted on a horizontal support (145) in proximity to the upper surface (121) of the main body (120). The printed circuit board (130) is arranged to be perpendicular to the horizontal support (145). The display means (150) is mounted on the printed circuit board (130). The second actuator is inserted through the opening, contacts the first actuator and moves the first actuator to the actuated position when the second actuator and indicator housing are moved to the second position. The first actuator is biased to the at-rest position by the spring when the second actuator and the indicator housing are moved to the first position. A method of dispensing metered dosages of medicament is also provided.

The cap member is moveable relative to the base member along an axial path. A shaft is non-rotatably mounted to one of the cap member and the base member and defines an axis. An indicator member is rotatably mounted on the shaft and is rotatable in at least a first direction. One of the shaft and the indicator member has a helical groove while the other of the shaft and the indicator member has a follower disposed in the groove. The indicator member is moveable relative to the shaft along the axis as the indicator member is rotated in the first direction. In another embodiment, the indicating device includes first, second and third indicator members. In yet another embodiment, the indicating device includes a housing having a longitudinally extending cavity shaped to receive the container and an indicator member disposed in the cavity and having a longitudinally extending wall shaped to surround at least a portion of the container. The indicator member is rotatably mounted within the housing and is rotatable relative thereto about a longitudinal axis. The indicator member includes a driven gear. A drive gear is disposed in the housing and includes a drive portion selectively engaged with the driven gear. An indicator member includes dosage indicia visible to a user and a circular gear mounted in the housing about an axis transverse to the axis of the worm and to the longitudinal axis. The circular gear engages the worm. In a preferred embodiment, the indicator assembly is provided in an indicator module. A method for dispensing measured dosages includes the steps of moving the container along the longitudinal axis so as to cause the worm to rotate about its axis, which causes the worm gear to rotate about its axis.

A dose counter for use with a medicament dispenser which comprises a ratchet; a first count wheel arranged to rotate about a first axis of rotation, the first count wheel including one or more ratchet drive receipt elements arranged thereon for receipt of drive from the ratchet to rotate the first count wheel about the first axis of rotation; a second count wheel arranged to rotate about the first axis of rotation, the second count wheel including a set of teeth arranged annularly thereon; and a kick wheel arranged to rotate about a second axis of rotation offset from the first axis of rotation, the kick wheel including a set of kick teeth arranged annularly thereon and in meshed relationship with the teeth of the second count wheel such that rotary motion of the kick wheel results in rotary motion of the second count wheel is described.
