A sealing method for a battery holder. A first jig circles the edge periphery of the opening of a can so as to define and fix the shape of the opening of the can. Then a second jig is inserted into the interior of the can through the opening of the can so as to set the shape of the edge of the opening of the can by way of the metal stretching property of the metal sheet, and the side surface of the can is planar. Finally, a cover is placed on the opening of the can to be sealed by way of thermal welding. The present solution employs a jig to automatically restore a distorted can to the correct shape, which can make the entire process of sealing battery holders manufactured batchwise automatic and save manual costs.

The portable battery case capable of suppressing fires includes a fire resistant case, a fire resistant lid, a lid fastener, at least one port, a temperature gage. The fire resistant case includes an outer layer, an intermediate layer that is made of fire resistant material, an inner layer, and a chamber. The chamber is delineated within the inner layer to secures the battery. The outer layer is hermetically connected to the inner layer so that the intermediate layer can be interposed between the inner layer and the outer layer. The fire resistant lid is terminally connected to the outer layer. The chamber is enclosed by the fire resistant lid and the lid fastener. The port is laterally integrated onto the fire resistant case in order to insert a power case. The temperature gage is laterally integrated onto the fire resistant case.

The service disconnect switch includes an electrical interlock switch. In the first position, the service disconnect connects a traction battery to circuitry. The service disconnect also has a second position, the second position being displaced from the access panel and disconnecting the battery.
