The retardation film includes: a substrate film including a negative retardation material; and a coating layer formed on at least one surface of the base substrate and including a copolyimide which includes repeating units represented by a chemical formula 1 below. In the chemical formula 1, X1 is a tetravalent organic group induced from an ester-group or an alicyclic or aromatic dianhydride including the ester-group; X2 is a tetravalent organic group induced from an acid dianhydride different from the X1; Q1 and Q2 are divalent organic groups individually and independently induced from a diamine; and a, b, c, and d represent mole fractions of each repeating unit, a+b+c+d =1, 0.1 <= a+b <= 1, 0 <= c+d <= 0.9.
