An apparatus to measure a gap between a nozzle and a cooling wheel using a nozzle with feature points in an amorphous fiber manufacturing facility comprises: a lighting part irradiating a light to the cooling wheel, and the nozzle including feature points; an image acquisition part to acquire an image to a previously established candidate zone including the feature points of the nozzle when the light irradiated by the lighting part passes through a gap between the feature points of the nozzle and the cooling wheel; and a cap calculation part which obtains the gap between the nozzle and the cooling wheel from the image to the candidate zone using the feature points of the nozzle. The feature points of the nozzle is able to obtain the gap between the nozzle and the cooling wheel while a melting alloy is discharged from the nozzle as the feature points of the nozzle are formed by penetrating a side of the nozzle. Disclosed is a method for detecting a release of a development nip of an image forming apparatus which comprises a photoreceptor and a development roller which are in contact with each other to form a development nip. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining a reference load by measuring a load of a transfer system which comprises a photoreceptor and a transfer roller after charging the photoreceptor in a state in which the development nip is formed; releasing the development nip and blocking light irradiated to the photoreceptor from an exposure device; obtaining a sensing load by measuring a load of the transfer system after exposing the photoreceptor; and determining whether the development nip has been normally released, on the basis of the reference load and the sensing load.
