Provided is a composition for an external use skin preparation, containing thioredoxin, and more specifically, to a composition which contains thioredoxin thereby providing an overall improvement in skin condition such as a remarkable improvement in skin moisturization, reduction in a transepidermal water loss, sebum control, pore contraction, an improvement in skin color through blood circulation improvement, and the like. 1. A method for reducing a transepidermal water loss from skin of a subject , comprising applying a skin external composition containing thioredoxin as an active ingredient and a dermatologically acceptable carrier to the skin of the subject , and wherein the subject is in need of reducing transepidermal water loss that is caused by a skin damage.2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the skin external composition essentially further comprises water and propylene glycol.3. The method according to claims 1 , wherein the skin external composition further comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a fatty substance claims 1 , organic solvent claims 1 , solubilizing agent claims 1 , thickener claims 1 , gelling agent claims 1 , softener claims 1 , antioxidant claims 1 , suspending agent claims 1 , stabilizer claims 1 , foaming agent claims 1 , aromatic claims 1 , surfactant claims 1 , water claims 1 , ionic or nonionic emulsifying agent claims 1 , filler claims 1 , sequestering agent claims 1 , chelating agent claims 1 , preservative claims 1 , vitamins claims 1 , blocking agent claims 1 , wetting agent claims 1 , essential oil claims 1 , dye claims 1 , pigment claims 1 , hydrophilic or hydrophobic activator claims 1 , and lipid vesicle.4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the thioredoxin is contained in an amount of 0.00001-50 wt % based on the total weight of the composition.
