Oral care composition comprises a stannous ion source and a thickener comprising at least 2 agents selected from the group consisting of: i) a linear sulfated polysaccharide; ii) a natural gum; iii) and a non-ionic cellulose derivative. A method for treating the oral cavity comprises administering to the oral cavity the oral care composition. 1. An oral care composition comprising:a. from 0.01% to 5% by weight of a stannous ion source; i) a linear sulfated polysaccharide;', 'ii) a natural gum; and', 'iii) a non-ionic cellulose derivative; and, 'b. from 0.01% to 15% by weight of a thickener comprising at least 2 agents selected from the group consisting ofc. at least 30% by weight of a total water content;wherein the composition has a pH between 4 to 10.2. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the thickener comprises at least 3 agents.3. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the stannous ion is selected from the group consisting of include stannous chloride claim 1 , stannous fluoride claim 1 , stannous acetate claim 1 , stannous gluconate claim 1 , stannous oxalate claim 1 , stannous sulfate claim 1 , stannous lactate and stannous tartrate.4. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the linear sulfated polysaccharide is carrageenan.5. The oral care composition according to claim 4 , wherein the carrageenan is selected from the group consisting of Kappa-carrageenan claim 4 , Iota-carrageenan claim 4 , Lambda-carrageenan claim 4 , and combinations thereof.6. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the natural gum is selected from the group consisting of xanthan gum claim 1 , gum karaya claim 1 , gum arabic claim 1 , gum tragacanth claim 1 , and combinations thereof.7. The oral care composition according to claim 1 , wherein the non-ionic cellulose derivative having an average molecular weight range of 90 claim 1 ,000 g/mol to 1 claim 1 ,300 claim 1 ,000 g/mol and an average degree of polymerization ...
