Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von alpha,beta-ethylenisch ungesättigten Aldehyden und/oder Carbonsäuren durch eine zweistufige katalytische Gasphasenoxidation, bei dem in der ersten Stufe (1) zumindest ein Alkan oder Alken mit drei bis sechs Kohlenstoffatomen und Sauerstoff enthaltendes Gasgemisch einer katalytischen Oxidationsreaktion unterzogen wird. Den in der ersten Stufe (1) erzeugten Gasen wird Sauerstoff zugeführt und das resultierende Gemisch wird in die zweite Stufe (2) eingeleitet, in der es einer weiteren katalytischen Oxidationsreaktion unterzogen wird. Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Signal gewonnen wird, das mit dem Sauerstoffgehalt der Reaktionsgase vor und/oder nach der Zufuhr von Sauerstoff zwischen der ersten und zweiten Stufe (1, 2) korreliert ist, und daß die Sauerstoffzufuhr in Abhängigkeit von dem Signal geregelt wird. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zum Regeln eines Verfahrens zur Herstellung von alpha,beta-ethylenisch ungesättigten Aldehyden und/oder Carbonsäuren sowie eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung dieser Stoffe mit der erfindungsgemäßen Regelvorrichtung.

The inventive method comprises the following steps: (I) the reaction gas is quenched by evaporative cooling using a high-boiling solvent; (II) the (meth)acrylic acid is separated from the quenched reaction gas by absorption in the high-boiling solvent; (III) the solvent loaded with (meth)acrylic acid is split into a first partial flow (IIIA) mostly containing (meth)acrylic acid and a second partial flow (IIIB) mostly containing the solvent; (IV) flow (IIIB) is sent back to step (II); and (V) (meth)acrylic acid is extracted from flow (IIIA) by distillation, all remaining liquid flows produced in step (V) being sent back to step (I).
