It is intended to provide a device for checking for the lumen passage which has a simple structure and is in the form of a capsule easily broken after a certain period of time in the lumen to thereby ensure discharge of the same. A part (43) of the surface of a meltable part (41)constituting a capsule-shaped construct is exposed as an opening and a non-meltable part (42) covering the surface is formed as a film. Owing to this structure, it is possible that when the meltable part (41) is melted after a certain period of time in the lumen, the filmy non-meltable part (42) cannot retain the capsule shape and, therefore, disintegrates. That is, the discharge ability can be surely improved while employing the simple structure.

Also disclosed are various other devices for facilitating the removal of the jammed sheet, such as a device for positively enlarging the clearance between the presser and elastic member, and a device for moving sheet advancing rolls away from each other.
