The present disclosure provides a core-sheath filament. The core-sheath filament includes an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath, wherein the sheath exhibits a melt flow index of less than 15 grams per 10 minutes. The present disclosure also provides a method of printing an adhesive. The method includes a) melting a core-sheath filament in a nozzle to form a molten composition, and b) dispensing the molten composition through the nozzle onto a substrate. Steps a) and b) are carried out one or more times to form a printed adhesive. The core-sheath filament includes an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath. Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying an article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process using a core-sheath filament, the article including a printed adhesive based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of an article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of an article including a printed adhesive, using a core-sheath filament. 1. A core-sheath filament comprising an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath , wherein the sheath exhibits a melt flow index of less than 15 grams per 10 minutes (g/10 min).2. A core-sheath filament including a crosslinkable adhesive core that can be cured using ultraviolet or visible light radiation. These crosslinkable adhesive core compositions can provide very high bond strength and are capable of replacing traditional mechanical fasteners in many industrial applications. The adhesive layer may comprise C1-C10 (meth)acrylic acid or ester thereof, vinyl acetate, ethylene vinyl acetate, hydrolysed polyvinyl alcohol and combinations thereof. The adhesive layer may also be a pressure sensitive adhesive. The method further comprises melt extruding a release film layer on an opposing major surface of the core film layer. Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying an article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process using a core-sheath filament, the article including a printed adhesive based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of an article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of an article including a printed adhesive, using a core-sheath filament.

A diaphragm for a microspeaker has an organic polymer film layer in direct contact with one or two skin layers. The one or two skin layers independently include a block copolymer having hard segments and soft segments, in which a portion of the hard segments is included in crystalline, physical crosslinking domains. The organic polymer film layer is not tacky at 25 ℃. A process of making the diaphragm is also described. The process includes coextruding the block copolymer and an organic polymer to provide a multilayer film comprising the one or two skin layers and the organic polymer film layer in direct contact with the one or two skin layers. A microspeaker including the diaphragm is also described.

The present disclosure provides an extrudable article and a composition, each including at least one polyurethane including hydroxyl groups and latent isocyanate groups in the form of uretdione groups. The hydroxyl groups are present on a first polyurethane and the latent isocyanate groups are present on either the first polyurethane or a second polyurethane and a ratio of the latent isocyanate groups to the hydroxyl groups is greater than 1.2 : 1. A method of making the extrudable article is provided including reacting in an extruder a polymerizable composition including a uretdione-containing material including a reaction product of a diisocyanate reacted with itself, a hydroxyl-containing compound, and an isocyanate-containing compound. A method of making a core-sheath filament is provided including forming a core composition of the at least one polyurethane and wrapping a sheath composition including an ethylene copolymer or a polyolefin around the core composition. Further, methods of printing a composition are provided including heating and mixing the extrudable article, such as in an extruder, to form a molten composition, then dispensing the molten composition through a nozzle onto a substrate.

Compositions and films are described comprising a polylactic (PLA) polymer and a copolymer comprising a first moiety comprising a C12-C30 alkyl group and a second moiety that is miscible in the composition. Suitable first moieties include a C12-C30 alkyl (meth)acrylate or a polyvinyl alcohol comprising pendent C12-C30 alkyl groups. Suitable second moieties include C1-C10 (meth)acrylic acid or ester thereof, vinyl acetate and ethylene vinyl acetate. The aforementioned composition may be used to form a release layer of an adhesive article such as a pressure sensitive adhesive tape. The films may be a monolithic film or a film layer of a multilayer film. The release layer may be disposed upon a substrate layer that may also comprise PLA. The films are produced by melt extrusion of the aforementioned composition and may be oriented.

The present disclosure provides a core-sheath filament. The core-sheath filament includes an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath, wherein the sheath exhibits a melt flow index of less than 15 grams per 10 minutes. The present disclosure also provides a method of printing an adhesive. The method includes a) melting a core-sheath filament in a nozzle to form a molten composition, and b) dispensing the molten composition through the nozzle onto a substrate. Steps a) and b) are carried out one or more times to form a printed adhesive. The core-sheath filament includes an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath. Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying an article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process using a core-sheath filament, the article including a printed adhesive based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of an article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of an article including a printed adhesive, using a core-sheath filament.
