Selective insect neonicotinoids is a class of pesticide active ingredients that share some characteristics in their chemical structures and bind to the nAChR acetylcholine receptors. Formulation of such compounds in oil suspension or oil dispersion is challenging due to their electrostatic interactions of the heteroatoms in oily media, that lead to irreversible flocculation or diminished homogeneicity and bleeding of such oil dispersions. Imidacloprid, Thiamethoxam, Thiachloprid, Nitenpyram, Acetamiprid, Clothianidin and Dinetofuran and derivatives thereof with nAChR binding ability are successfully formulated in oil suspension with the use of certain copolymeric anionic fatty-acid based dispersants, sorbitan derivatives, ionic surfactants, other non-ionic surfactants and inorganic polyvalent cationic salt dispersed in the oil. The formulations this way produced show excellent storage stability properties regarding physiochemical parameters, including stability of the neonicotinoid active ingredient, reduced bleeding, and complete redispersibility. Further, they show excellent biological efficacy due to the reduced and homogeneous particle size below 2 μm when diluted—emulsified—in water.

The present invention relates to a stable suspoemulsion which includes an oil-in-water miniemulsion which includes at least one agriculturally active ingredient and a suspension that includes at least one agriculturally active ingredient and methods of using such suspoemulsions to treat plants. Improved aqueous herbicidal compositions comprising at least one water-soluble herbicide and a gel forming agent are provided. The invention provides a method for preparing an improved composition comprising at least one active agent and at least one solid carrier material, wherein the active agent is dispersed through the carrier material in nano-disperse form, which method comprises the steps of: (a) forming a liquid mixture comprising the active agent, the carrier material, a stabilizing agent, a first solvent for the active agent and the stabilizing agent and, a second solvent for the carrier material, and (b) drying the liquid mixture to remove the first and second solvents to obtain a substantially solvent-free nano-dispersion of the active agent with the stabilising agent in the carrier material, wherein the stabilizing agent is capable of stabilizing the active agent in the liquid mixture during drying and in a resultant liquid nano-dispersion of the improved composition. 2. A method according to in which the steps are further defined by: (i) a solution of the active agent and the stabilizing agent in the first solvent, and', '(ii) a solution of the carrier material in the second solvent, and, '(a) forming an emulsion comprising(b) drying the emulsion to remove the first and second solvents to obtain a substantially solvent-free nano-dispersion of the active agent stabilised by the stabilising agent in the carrier material.3. The invention relates to a method of controlling aphids that are resistant to neonicotinoid insecticides, using the compound 4,5-dihydro-6-methyl-4-(3-pyridylmethyleneamino)-1,2,4-triazin-3(2H)-one in free form or in agrochemically acceptable salt form as well as the use of compositions comprising said compound to control neonicontinoid resistant insects. In particular the methods relate to controlling neonicotinoid resistant insects in the Aphididae family, that are resistant to one or more neonicotinoid insecticides. Methods of the invention find particular use in controlling neonicotinoid resistant insects in crops of useful plants. The present invention furthermore relates to a process for preparing thiazole-4-carboxylic esters and thioesters.It is already known that certain piperidinyl-substituted thiazole-4-carboxamides can be used as fungicidal crop protection agents (see WO 07/014,290, WO08/091,594). However, in particular at relatively low application rates, the fungicidal activity of these compounds is not always sufficient. Furthermore, in many cases the activity spectrum of these amides is insufficient.
