A manufacturing method and equipment for intensifying hardness of screws includes at least three steps. A first step is to have a steel wire forged into a first blank with a screw head and a screw shank. A second step is to convey the first blank into a thread shaping die to have the outer diameter of the shank of the first blank diminished to form a second blank through the first sectional cold forging region of the thread shaping die for intensifying the hardness of the shank. A third step is to have the second blank directly moved into the second sectional thread-forming region of the thread shaping die to shape threads and a pointed tail of the shank. Thus, both the second step and the third step can be carried out within the same thread shaping die, able to elevate shaping speeds and hardness of screws.

The present clinch screw can be secured through a hole in a sheet of metal by a simple press-in application like a tack pin. An undercut clinch feature on the screw shank just underneath the head and above a threaded bulb portion of the shank secures the screw to the sheet as material from the sheet cold-flows into the undercut. Simultaneously, sheet material also flows around and between the bulb threads which forms partial female threads in the sidewall of the sheet hole and provides added pull-out resistance. The screw can then be simply turned out to remove it. In doing so additional female threads are cut into the upper portion of the hole sidewall as the threaded bulb moves upward and then out of the hole. A re-useable threaded hole in the sheet is left behind. 1. A thread is formed by cutting on a cylindrical body, and a surface of the thread is plastically deformed by rolling. Because of the cutting, a width between-side surfaces of a thread tip section is in a narrowed state as compared to a normal width. This width is narrowed toward a tip of the thread while a thread body section has a width expanded as compared to a normal width. This invention provides a method for rolling an external pipe thread, a rolling head and device thereof. A rolling wheel carries out a thread rolling, wherein the thread rolling starts from a thread tail of the external pipe thread and moves towards a thread head of the external pipe thread, thereby completing the thread rolling. The rolling head of the invention comprises at least one rolling wheel arranged along a circumference, a corresponding rolling wheel axle and a corresponding rolling wheel seat; the rolling wheel is rotatably fixed to the rolling wheel seat via the rolling wheel axle; and the rolling wheel is provided with a pipe thread forming part having a thread length less than an effective thread length of the external pipe thread to be rolled. The rolling head of the invention also comprises a radial regulating device that can realize dynamic rolling and real-time whole-process regulation of radial position of the rolling wheel for the purpose of forming the taper as required by rolling process. The invention also provides rolling device including aforesaid rolling head. Solutions as provided by this invention are expected to guard against deformation to the pipe end during rolling, significantly save materials for hollowed cylindrical blank, and improve the rate of finished products.

The present invention is a die positioning system for use in positioning mobile or fixed dies. The system includes a pair of key bars, a pair of key disc inserts, a set of key discs, and a set of disc backers. The key bars and key discs serve to offset manufacturing dies or die holders. Using key bars and/or key discs from different pairs of key bars and/or sets of key discs also allows for precise angulation of the dies or die holders. The key discs are held in place between the die and die holder, or between the die holder and key base, by the key disc inserts and angled (if feasible) by the disc backers. The key bars, located between the key disc inserts and the die or die holder allow additional offset of the die or die holder. This is accomplished by selecting a material for an engaging portion of the fastener that is soft enough to yield to a set of threads to which it is driven into. In this way, a complementary threading pattern is formed on an exterior surface of the fastener as it is twisted against threading of the high cost component to which the fastener is configured to be coupled. 1. A method for securing a first component to a second component , the method comprising:arranging a first end of a fastener through an opening in the first component and against a threaded bore disposed in the second component; anddriving the first end of the fastener against a plurality of threads disposed along an inside surface of the threaded bore such that an outer surface of the fastener is deformed against the plurality of threads, the deformation of the outer surface forming a threading pattern along the outer surface of the fastener that is complementary with the plurality of threads,wherein the threading pattern interacts with the plurality of threads to secure the first end of the fastener within the threaded bore of the second component, and wherein the outer surface of the fastener is not rigid enough to cause damage to the plurality of threads.2. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the driving of the first end of the fastener against the plurality of threads comprises twisting the first end of the fastener against the plurality of threads.3. A method and system for increasing damping capacity in a mechanical fastener by utilizing dry friction between individual wires of a sheathed rope is disclosed. For metal fasteners, the sheathed rope is inserted loosely into a thick-walled metal tube. The tube is then rolled to reduce the tube diameter, thereby uniformly embedding the rope into the tube material. The tube is then subjected to either cold or hot forming. After forming, the fastener blank may be threaded. For composite or plastic fasteners, the sheathed rope includes insert locators attached to the sheathing. The sheathed rope having the insert locators is placed in the mold cavity prior to the polymerizable material being injected into the mold. Regardless of the embodiment, the resulting fastener has increased damping due to the dry inter-wire friction within the embedded rope which develops between the surfaces of individual wires upon dynamic loading of a fastened joint. 1. A vibration-damping fastener comprising:a body having a first end, a second end and a long axis;a vibration-damping metal rope embedded in said body along said axis between said first and second ends, said rope comprising a plurality of wires positioned next to one another and a metal sheathing encasing said plurality of wires, whereby sliding movement of the surfaces of the wires relative to one another dampens resonant vibration of the fastener.2. [Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a form-rolling die and form-rolling method for a compound screw that use a cylindrical material to be threaded, enable the high-precision mass production of compound screws having a right-hand thread portion and a left-hand thread portion on the same region, do not cause rolling defects such as slips, and in which blockages do not occur even in the unlikely event of shavings being generated. [Solution] A form-rolling die structure is provided with die members which are pressed against a material to be threaded and which have rigid surfaces that are relatively displaced. The die members are equipped with a plurality of independent concave portions which form a substantially parallelogram shape when viewed from the normal of a virtual surface obtained by connecting the outermost portions of each of the rigid surfaces, and which are recessed from the virtual surface. Two of the corners at the sites corresponding to the four corners of the substantially parallelogram-shape of the concave portions are rounded. The periphery of each concave portion in the cross-section along the direction of the normal is rounded along the periphery of the substantially parallelogram shape. The concave portions form a substantially truncated-pyramid shape. The sites equivalent to the ridge lines of the concave portions are rounded in cross-sectional view perpendicular to the ridge line, and bases () are provided in the deepest sites (). 1. Endodontic instruments or intermediate products (e.g., blanks) used to form finished endodontic instruments having a desired cutting edge and/or taper are formed, at least in part, by molding a metal powder into a desired shape and then sintering the metal particles together. The metal powder is initially formed into a green molded part that is sintered to yield a solid metal part. The sintered metal part may optionally be further processed by additional steps, as needed, to yield a finished endodontic instrument. One additional process includes cold forming the sintered metal body to provide a cutting edge, remove cracks and microfissures, or otherwise modify the characteristics of an intermediate product or endodontic instrument. Other processes include chemical milling and mechanical milling, grinding or cutting to sharpen the cutting edge, form a taper, or otherwise modify the intermediate product or endodontic instrument in a desired manner.

According to the re-rolling apparatus comprising the improved dice and the dice block of the present invention, since the dice is re-rolled by being elastically supported to the dice block, burr generated in a first-rolled material or precipitate of a rust-prevention and corrosion-resistant painting stained on a surface is able to automatically be removed. At the same time, it is able to be prevented such that a coating layer of the re-rolled material is damaged by the burr or the surface of the coating layer stabbed. Moreover, since cleansing after material processing or a post-process of burr removal by a prior rolling process is able to simply be performed by the re-rolling apparatus of the present invention, the present invention has the effect of reducing post-process work time and improve a quality of a product.
