A moisture control system is provided for controlling the amount of chemical added to a fabric. The system includes a suction pipe having a slot therein and a fabric positioned to pass over the slot. A vacuum source is connected through conduit means to the suction pipe. A source of liquid is provided including a predetermined percentage of chemical therein to be added to the fabric. Liquid from the liquid source is added to the fabric and the fabric containing the liquid from the liquid source is advanced over the suction pipe whereupon vacuum is applied to the fabric to deliquefy it. The vacuum source is set to provide a predetermined vacuum depending on the chemical concentration of the liquid and the composition of the fabric. As the fabric passes over the slot a change in the vacuum is sensed and the vacuum source is actuated to retain the vacuum to the predetermined condition thereby maintaining a constant moisture level and amount of added chemical in the fabric.

The invention is a method and apparatus for treating a permeable web with a fluid. The fluid may be used for displacement washing of the web, it may be a reactive material, or it may be some other type of treatment. The apparatus has a rotatable drum with a fluid permeable endless belt reeved about at least a portion of the drum circumference, Two or more spaced-apart press rolls bear against the outer surface of the belt, pressing it against the drum with sufficient force to form nip zones. A belt position control mechanism gives the belt limited freedom of radial movement away from the drum in the area between the nip zones. This permits a gap of controllable dimension to form between the drum and the belt. The gapped region defines a volume which creates a permeable web treating zone. Appts. includes a first endless belt trained over the major part of a suction drum which is the fixing drum and over which the web to be fixed is passed. The web leaving the drum passes to a similar drum and endless belt arrangement, whereby the steam chest is replaced by cooling chamber from which issues the supercooled or liquefied nitrogen. Pref. the nitrogen is sprayed with the aid of nozzles. Nozzles are pref. arranged to face in the direction opposite to that of the web movement. The drum periphery may be surrounded by a thermally insulated jacket and the drum interior is exhausted by a fan. Liquid nitrogen may be sprayed into the air which is used for cooling the webs.

The suction slot between two glide strips for a transport device transporting the textile material terminates radially inwards in a stationary suction tube into the thicker wall of which a suction slot is milled across the entire working length, thereby removing the need for bores having intermediate webs that are soiled by the lint suctioned off. A method of treating papermaking fabrics comprising:applying an alkali material in combination with an anionic polymeric dispersant and/or a hydroxyfunctional carboxylic acid to the papermaking fabrics;wherein the application of the alkali material in combination with the anionic polymeric dispersant and/or the hydroxyfunctional carboxylic acid removes contaminants from the papermaking fabrics and improves the drainage of the papermaking fabrics.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the papermaking fabrics are contaminated with wet soils in an amount from about 0.1 to about 100% by weight.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the alkali material in combination with the anionic polymeric dispersant and/or the hydroxyfunctional carboxylic acid is applied as a single aqueous solution.4. Further, in case of using the fabric as a raw fabric for bulletproof garments, water-repellency is increased to prevent deterioration in bulletproof properties caused by water absorption. 1. Fabrics are impregnated with a fluid, such as dyeing or other finishing fluids, using a hollow tube with a slit for the fluid to be sprayed through under pressure as the fabric is passed over the slit. The system allows fluids to be applied to fabrics at temps. above the boiling point of the fluids. The tube, of 50-100 mm.dia., is filled with the treatment fluid through a valve feed, and held under pressure. The fabric to be treated is passed over the surface of the tube for the fluid to be applied in a spray through the slit. The fabric is passed over the slit in an obtuse angle, at a suitable speed according to the absorbtion characteristic of the matl. The system can be extended by having a no. of tubes arranged on one or both sides of the fabric, or by having the tube replaced by a broad-surfaced hollow support with an application slit.

The freshly dyed and fixed web, partic. of a continuous pile carpeting material, has hot washing fluid directed at the under surface and drawn through by suction. As the fabric continues through the process, a further application of hot water at about 85 deg.C is directed at the under surface, and drawn through by suction applied to the upper surface. The unfixed dyestuff present is therefore fully washed out, so that the material can be dried. The process gives an effective low-energy method of washing dyed floor coverings before a backing has been applied, with a low water consumption. The equipment needed takes little space, and there is no risk that residual unfixed dye will colour the fibres.

本发明公开一种高效退浆的印染工艺,所述高效退浆的印染工艺包括以下步骤:①、将布料放置于输送带上,通过输送带输送至烧毛机,烧毛机烧掉布料上的绒毛;②、将烧毛过的布料经输送带输送至退浆机,退浆机中的退浆滚筒对布料进行退浆处理;③、将经退浆处理过的布料通过输送带输送至煮练机,由煮练机对布料进行高温煮练;④、煮练后的布料再经煮练机上的除杂装置进行去杂质处理;⑤、接着再将去杂质后的布料在水洗槽进行水洗操作;⑥、水洗后的布料经输送带输送至染色机,由染色机对布料进行染色处理。与现有技术相比,本发明大大提高布料退浆时的退浆效率,且印染效果好,劳动强度低。

In Fig. 1, the slot b is formed in the tube B and its width is adjusted by movement of two walls extending radially of the tube B and provided with arcuate ends secured by bolt-and-slot connections to arcuate brackets on the tube B. A seal c is provided between the edges of the slot b and the wall b<SP>7</SP>. Flexible flaps c<SP>1</SP> carried by a bar c<SP>4</SP> restrict the effective width of the drum to that of the fabric. The wall b<SP>7</SP> is covered with a mesh fabric. Rings b<SP>2</SP> secure the wall b<SP>7</SP> to a perforated support disc a<SP>3</SP> and ring b<SP>6</SP>, and flanges b<SP>1</SP> are fixed to the rings b<SP>2</SP>. The vacuum source is set to provide a predetermined vacuum depending on the chemical concentration of the liquid and the composition of the fabric. As the fabric passes over the slot a change in the vacuum is sensed and the vacuum source is actuated to retain the vacuum to the predetermined condition thereby maintaining a constant moisture level and amount of added chemical in the fabric.

The vacuum acts upon the web to reduce the thickness of the web and to draw the foamed binder material into the web to impregnate the web.
