Improvements in vessels for dispensing cooled liquids

[Class 29.] Apparatus for dispensing drinks comprises a liquid container 4 having a draw-off tap and an ice container 11 rotated through a handactuated friction drive. The drive comprises a rod 2 carrying a twirling cap 5 and having a U-shaped part carrying a rubber sleeve 13, Fig. 2A, which engages a groove in the rim of the ice container, and an adjustable spring- controlled sleeve 7 the rubber-capped end of which is also in frictional contact with the groove. The ice container is supported on a peg 17 and is fitted at its lower end with a stirrer consisting of blades 15 having projections 16 which engage frictionally with the outside of the container. In a modification, the friction drive consists of rubber-capped arms 20, Fig. 5, which engage with the groove in the rim of the ice container, one of the arms consisting of two parts pivotally or slidably connected to adjust the drive to the groove.
