Реферат: Thermoplastic molding material based on polyesters with a mixture of halogenated compound and antimony oxide as fire retardant, also contains 0.01-5 wt.% calcium phosphonate or aluminum phosphinate. Thermoplastic molding material (I) containing: (A) 0-97 wt.% polyester(s) (a1) other than polyethylene terephthalate (PET) but containing 1-50 wt.% PET (a2), (B) 1-30 wt.% fire retardant comprising (b1) 20-99 wt.% halogenated fire retardant and (b2) 1-80 wt.% antimony oxide, (C) 0.01-5 wt.% calcium phosphonate or aluminum phosphinate, (D) 0.01-3 wt.% anti-drip additive and (E) 0-70 wt.% other additives. Independent claims are also included for: (1) molded products obtained from (I) (2) coil housings, bodies or carriers, condenser cups, plug connectors, connector bridges, chip bases, circuit boards, lamp components and sockets, starter housings, transformer housings, accumulator casings, fan wheels and their frames, lamp bases and switches, lighting covers and holders, small electrical instruments, housings for irons, switchboard units, power safety switches, battery chargers, power outlets, motor and generator parts, and terminal blocks produced from (I).
Thermoplastic molding composition e.g. for fibers and films, comprises thermoplastic polyester, a (di)phosphinic acid salt, fire retardant and ester or amide
