Improvements in or relating to valves for use with gas purifiers
Реферат: 295,269. Hollis, H. H. April 8, 1927. Purifiers.-An arrangement of valves for controlling the flow of gas through purifiers comprises a number of vertical tubular connectors 4, each having valves 29, 30 at its top and bottom ends and two openings 2, 8 serving as inlet and outlet according to the position of the connector in the purifier, one of which leads to an elbow member C the orifice of which is also valve-controlled all the valves being operable from outside the purifier so that when the two ends of the connector are open or closed the elbow orifice is closed or open. In a modification the central shaft 17 is divided into two portions, enabling the two valves 29, 30 to be separately operated. The end of the lower shaft may be mounted on a bracket and be raised or lowered by means of a bevel wheel which acts as a nut and meshes with a bevel pinion on a horizontal shaft rotated by a hand wheel. Or the shaft may be mounted in a footstep bearing and rotated by bevel gear. Specifications 282,943 and 283,283 are referred to.
