Improvements in Fuel Injection Pumps for Internal Combustion Engines
Реферат: 1,172,622. Fuel injection pumps. ROBERT BOSCH G. m. b. H. Jan. 5, 1967 [Jan. 5, 1966], No.705/67. Heading F1A. In a fuel injection pump having a row of pump cylinders lubricating oil under pressure is supplied from the engine to the cam-shaft chamber 13 through a passage 22 from a pipe 20 and an adjustable throttle 21. Flow into the chamber 13 occurs when passage 24 in cam follower 3 is in registry with passage 22. The chamber 13 is in communication with the follower-spring chamber 14 through a passage 15 in the spring abutment plate 9. An overflow passage 25a extends into the chamber 14 between the first and second cylinders of the pump from the cam-shaft drive end and connects to a passage 25 parallel to the axis of the pump which extends to the end of the pump opposite to the cam-shaft drive end. By this arrangement the pump may be mounted in various angular positions and a sufficient quantity of lubricating oil will be maintained in the casing 1. The outlet of the overflow passage may open into the casing (28, Fig. 4, not shown), of a pump output regulator having a centrifugal governor (30). The regulator may be operated by an adjusting lever (37) located outside the regulator casing (28). A pair of outlet pipes (38 and 39) extend into the regulator casing and depending upon the mounting of the pump may provide for the discharge of oil from the casing and/or venting. An adjustable throttle may be provided in the overflow passage 25 and/or in the regulator casing outlet pipes (38 and 39).
