Laying-on gear for or in coiling machines
Реферат: 1331254 Coiling machines MIL Ltd 19 April 1971 [10 Feb 1970] 6216/70 Heading D1J The gear for laying on coils in a winding machine, Fig. 1, traverses along a coil receiving wheel 16 in synchronism with the rotation of the wheel. The gear is traversed by a reciprocating rail 48 which it grips by means of a clutch and which is synchronised with the wheel 16. The device is operated by pressurised air supplied at points 118, 126 and 136, Fig. 3, which is fed via trip valve 116 to valve 134 which applies air pressure to the left hand side of a reciprocating cylinder 58 and via valve 124 to the brake cylinder 78 which grips a brake rail 46 to hold a guide 28 stationary. When valve 116 is tripped by the wheel 16 valve 134 is activated to disengage the brake and engage a clutch with the rail 48 by means of the cylinder 80. Simultaneously air is applied to the right hand side of cylinder 58 to traverse the rail 48 which is now engaged with the guide 28. The valve 116 then de-trips and returns the system to its initial condition but with the guide 28 moved one step to the left. The size of step is set by a stop screw 64. The process continues cyclially until a full traverse is effected when guide 28 engages a detent 106 which operates valve 98 to reverse the direction of traverse. Valve 116 may be tripped one or more times by each revolution of wheel 16 and control is switched manually by valve 131 when the wheel 16 is full to valve 112 which is tripped by wheel 14 to which winding is manually transferred. Wheels 14 and 16 are driven by a common electric motor through slipping clutches and may be split on their median planes to remove a complete coil.
