Photographic film support
Реферат: 975,326. Photographic film supports. KODAK Ltd. Jan. 6,1961 [Jan. 8, 1960], No. 667/61. Heading G2C. A photographic film support contains uniformly distributed therein light-diffusing particles of a size and at a concentration such that the total diffuse density of the support (measured with a recording spectrophotometer receiving all the light transmitted by the support and calculated by integrating and averaging the density values over the range of wavelengths from 400 to 700 millimicrons) is from 0. 01 to 0. 1 greater than the total diffuse density of the support when free from said particles. The particles may comprise either titanium dioxide or carbon black or a mixture of both. The titanium dioxide particles are preferably 0. 2-0. 35 microns in diameter and are present in concentrations of 0. 0499-0. 403% based on the weight of the support. The carbon black particles are preferably 0. 2 microns or less in diameter and are present in concentrations of 0. 00785-0. 0393% based on the weight of the support. The support may comprise any of the usual film forming materials such as cellulose esters (cellulose acetate is referred to) and polyesters (polyethylene terephthalate is referred to). Numerous examples of embodiment are given. Specification 710,060 and U.S.A. Specifications 2,627,088, 2,779,684 and 2,878,521 are referred to.
