Реферат: A valve assembly (2) and an injection valve (1) are disclosed. The valve assembly (2) comprises a needle (7) within a housing (3) movable along a longitudinal axis (L), a first valve seat (10) and a first valve closing part (9), movable by the needle (7). The valve assembly (2) comprises a second valve seat (13) and a second valve closing part (12), movable by the needle (7). The valve assembly (2) may further comprise a flow calibration ring (23) surrounding the needle (7), the second valve seat (13) being formed by a front face (27) of the flow calibration ring (23) or by a sealing (22) mounted at the flow calibration ring (23), and a stopping part (40) which is formed at or fixed at the needle (7), wherein the stopping part (40) and the flow calibration ring (23) are operable to contact each other for acting as an axial stop in order to limit the maximum lift of the needle (7). An injection method is also disclosed.
