Реферат: The conventional filtering device for the rain water harvesting system that has been used to filter rain water from debris such as leaves and dirt requires lots of maintenance. Furthermore, the downpipe has multiple parts to be assembled which may increase the complexity in manufacturing. This assembly also contributes to the weak points in assembly. The present invention overcomes these problems by providing a filtering device (1) for rain water harvesting system, comprising a downpipe (2), an inflow portion (3) at the top portion of the said downpipe (2), an outflow portion (4) at the bottom portion of the said downpipe (2), a middle portion (5) located between the said inflow portion (3) and the said outflow portion (4), a housing (6) enclosing the said middle portion (5), and an output pipe (7) attached to a lower portion of the said housing (6), wherein the said downpipe (2) having a filtering element (8) in a unibody manner on the said middle portion (4), and the said housing (6) having a vertical inner wall that is at a distance from the outer wall of the said middle portion to form a water retaining portion (9).
