Реферат: Device comprises a base panel, heat-insulating layer, an absorber, a 1st light-permeable panel (e.g. glass), and an air gap between absorber and (glass) panel; a 2nd, outer, light-permeable panel made of profiled material, has its transparency partly reduced by a regular or random surface design but this does not appreciably affect the light-permeability of same. The panels when mounted in sets e.g. rows, can be used as a solar-energy-collecting roof. The pattern on the 2nd panel enhances the claimed article aesthetically without impairing its efficacy. The profiled material (which may be glass) has 'U', 'V' or 'M' cross-section or it is corrugated or fluted. It has flanges bearing on the 1st panel or (in the absence of same) against the absorber. The collector may be designed as a pre-fabricated building element or a unit for combining with other similar units. Between the profiles, there may be a light-permeable binder based on a silicone. The profile may be an alkali-glass (which may or may not contain Fe) or a plastics e.g. a polycarbonate or polyacrylate.
