The present Addition refers to the splitting machine in particular hides and skins, the nonwoven fabrics, rubbers, plastics plates or rollers, being the object of the French Patent, ne 80.19375.

The object of the Addition is attached in particular to claims 1, 4 and 6 of the main Patent have notably defined the characteristics of the splitting machine according to which the support structure of the said machine is designed to separate the members of said machine into two individual sets, in other words:

a fixed assembly carrying the presentation devices (10), and positioning drive (5-7) products, devices placed on either side of the cutting line, which are adjustable and distinctly separately with respect to the cutting line formed by the cutting edge of the upper run of an endless blade (25) | a mobile set in the horizontal plane, with respect to the fixed assembly, comprising a bed (13) blade holder equipped with all the guide elements, positioning, drive, sharpening of the blade with a cutting edge formed at the intersection of two faces bevelled sharpened (39-40), has a fixed position in the horizontal plane, relative to the bench; the said mobile assembly being movable with respect to the fixed assembly of the structure to vary the distance between the yaws d ' drive which is the imaginary plane passing through the axes of cylinders driver element (5) and (7) supported by the fixed assembly, and the cutting edge of the blade positioned immovably in the horizontal plane with respect to the movable part. According to other features of the machine, the movable assembly is positioned relative to 1' fixed assembly by two operating devices (I7d -17g) of the screw type and worm wheel, one end of which is locked in place by supports (ld-lg) (18d *-18g) fixed to the frame and which are linked into synchronism by a connecting shaft (18) connected to an operating means (19-20) external to the machine. Also provided is a geared motor (33), causing synchronized operating three devices (30, 30d, 30g) linked together by a shaft (31) and the group (33) '' * ■ by a shaft (32), the movement of a thrust plate (29) equipped with pushers (28) blade heel made and attached accurately to be fully aligned.

According to the Addition, it is wanted first, continued into the objective lens according to the Patent for obtaining a fixed position very accurate cutting edge of the blade (25), solve the problem resulting from the endless cutting blades (25) have not always perfect operating characteristics with regard to their geometry. This may result in instability of the moving blade on the flywheels (23g and 23d) which carry the and 1' drive.

In order that the blade remains pressed against the keys (28), is carried out wherein adjusting the "biasing" flying to incline their axes in a very reduced, to secure the blade (25) pressed against the keys or pushers (28), and in particular against the pushers at the ends (28a and 28b). When engages the skins or other products in the slitting machine, it occurs against the cutting blade that passes said blade from the equilibrium position taken in the training phase of the blade before slitting, to a position where the heel of the blade comes into contact with the keys (28c). The cutting edge of the blade is moved relative to the plane passing through the axes of the cylinder and the feed roller elements. This movement is detrimental to the high precision and is searched for the machine.

According to the Addition, it is proposed a device for varying the alignment of the keys or push ' to take account of the detents of the blades,

-by giving support to the heel of the blade over the entire length, by eliminating the arrow center spacer.

To this end, and according to a first feature of 1' invention the central bearing device (30) which acts against the thrust plate (29), comprises operating means to deform by pushing it, the central part of the plate (29), so that the pushers or center keys (28c) are advanced to support the heel of said cutter by compensating for its deformation.

In Addition, is also desired hold ' account that in working slitting of the two skins (the skins being cut according to the line of the line of the back), consideration should be given their thickness is thin and their loose fibrous structure and on the blanks of the said half-skins, while their thickness is stronger and their firmer structure along the line of the back.

The inclination of the movable assembly is provided in one direction or the other according to whether it is of the strips or half-skins left (sidewall portion skins that is located to the left when in front of the machine, to feed hides), or strips or half-skins straight (sidewall portion of the skins to the right when in front of the machine, the skins pourintroduire).

For this purpose and according to a further feature of the invention, :

The advantages emerge from the description, is highlighted the fixed position very accurate cutting edge of the blade in the horizontal plane with respect to the movable part, plating of the blade on all poüssoirs eliminating the central arrow and the deformations of the blade, and adjusting 1'-interval between the cutting edge and the drive plane depending on the characteristics of the half-skins.

- 1Machine slitting in particular hides and skins, according to claims 1 and 6 of the Patent comprising a moving unit consisting essentially of a bank (13) having three dispoâtifs (30, 30d, 30g) for connection with a thrust plate (29) of a cutting blade (25) by means of pushers or keys (28), characterized in that the central device (30) which acts against the thrust plate (29), comprises operating means to deform by pushing it, the central part of the plate (29), so that the pushers or center keys (28c) are advanced to support the heel of said cutter by compensating for its deformation.

- 3Machine slitting according to claim 2, characterized in that, to avoid the undesired rotation and misadjustment of the threaded sleeve, is provided a fixing washer (70), (69) connected to the support and bearing on a collar of the sleeve (68).

- 4Machine slitting according to claims 1 and 4 of the Patent, comprising a moving unit positioned relative to a fixed assembly, using two operating devices (17d, 17g) of the screw type and worm wheel which are connected to supports (18d, 18g) attached to frames (ld, lg), characterized in that the supports (l8d , 18g) are equipped both adjustment means to act independently on one or the other of the operating devices (l7dj 17g), with respect to the fixed bearing (or I8d 18g) corresponding, angularly to incline the bench (13) and the blade (25) according to the half-skins slitting, and thus reduces in a portion of the length, the gap between the cutting edge of the blade (25) and drive 1© plane of the half-skins in between the driver and cylinders, correlated with the reduced thickness of the flanks of the half-skins, while keeping on the other part of the length the range necessary with respect to thicker portions (the back).

- 5Machine slitting according to claim 4, characterized in that the means of adjustment devices (17d, 17g) consist of threaded sleeves (73) to operating head and which are engaged in the threaded bore of the supports (18d, 18g);

said bushes being connected to the devices (17d, 17g) by

screws (72) cooperating with nuts (76) devices (17d, 17g).

- 6Machine slitting and 5.ensemble according to claims 2, characterized in that the threaded sleeves (68 and 73) are connected to the lead screw (67c and 72) via thrust ball bearings (71, 75) or similar means.

- 7Machine slitting according to claims 2 and 5 assembly, characterized in that the threaded sleeves (68 and 73) are provided with marks or graduations of assessing precisely the displacement achieved.
