GRANULATED DETERGENT COMPOSITION

A granulated detergent composition which comprises (A) an α-sulfofatty acid alkyl ester salt represented by general formula (I): R¹-CH(SO₃M)-COOR² ·· (I) [wherein R¹ is an alkyl or alkenyl group having 8 to 18 carbon atoms; R² is alkyl; and M is a counter ion], (B) a C_10-16 higher alcohol in an amount of 0.1 to less than 2% by mass relative to the total mass of the granulated detergent composition, (C) a phosphorus-based builder, and (D) an alkaline builder, characterized in that the content of granules which have diameters exceeding 710μm and up to 1400μm is 10 to 50% by mass. Even in washing using high-hardness water, the granulated detergent composition exhibits excellent detergency, foam retentivity, and good rinsing properties, and can give good real feelings of detergence.
