An imaging device includes: an imaging unit; a drive signal generation unit configured to generate and output a plurality of drive signals for driving the imaging unit; a differential converter configured to convert one of the plurality of drive signals into a differential signal; a pair of signal lines configured to transmit the differential signal and configured such that impedance matching does not occur at a terminal of one of the pair of signal lines; and an adjustment unit configured to send a detecting signal to the one of the pair of signal lines, and to adjust characteristics of at least one of the plurality of drive signals based on a time period from when the detecting signal is sent until the detecting signal is reflected and returned from the terminal of the one of the pair of signal lines. 1. A reduced area imaging device is provided for use in medical or dental instruments such as an endoscope. The imaging device is provided in various configurations, and connections between the imaging device elements and a video display may be achieved by wired or wireless connections. A connector assembly located near the imaging device interconnects the imaging device to an image/power cable extending through the endoscope. The connector provides strain relief and stabilization for electrically interconnecting the imager to the cable. The connector also serves as the structure for anchoring the distal ends of steering wires extending through the body of the endoscopic device. The connector includes a strain relief member mounted over a body of the connector. The connector allows a steering wire capability without enlarging the profile of the distal tip of the endoscopic device.

An inspection system for inspecting a surgical instrument lumen at a cleaning station. The system includes a waterproof housing and a waterproof borescope assembly. The housing carries an image processor electronically connected to a display screen, and provides an imaging port. The borescope assembly includes a borescope, an image sensor and a connector assembly. The connector assembly is configured to selectively connect with the imaging port. When connected, signals from the image sensor are delivered to the image processor. A cleaning implement (e.g., wipe) is optionally provided with the borescope. During a cleaning operation, the inspection system is located in close proximity to cleaning liquid, affording the operator the ability to inspect lumen(s) of the surgical instrument throughout the cleaning operation without fear of damaging the inspection system. The disclosed technology is directed to an endoscopic apparatus comprises an endoscope having a cable connected to an electronic circuit part of the endoscope. The cable includes an elongated covering and an elongated component configured to be concentrically engaged with the elongated covering. A securing member is used to bind and to secure the elongated covering and the elongated component to one another. The elongated covering includes at least one recess formed on an outer circumferential area of the elongated covering on which the securing member binds and secures the elongated covering. The securing member has a portion that sinks in the at least one recess and secures the elongated covering and the elongated component that is exposed through the at least one recess. 1. An endoscopic apparatus comprising: an elongated covering,', 'an elongated component configured to be concentrically engaged with the elongated covering; and', 'a securing member being used to bind and to secure the elongated covering and the elongated component to one another,, 'an endoscope having a cable connected to an electronic circuit part of the endoscope wherein the cable includes'}wherein the elongated covering includes at least one recess formed on an outer circumferential area of the elongated covering on which the securing member binds and secures the elongated covering, andthe securing member has a securing portion that sinks in the at least one recess and secures the elongated covering and the elongated component that is exposed through the at least one recess.2. An adaptor associated with a stereoscopic field of view through a port. The adaptor includes a housing, frame, and cables. The housing includes circuits associated with imaging data. The frame is connected to the housing, and has a guide and aperture. The guide extends away from the frame and is configured to pass through an opening of the port. The guide includes a terminal end configured to extend into the port such that the aperture is in communication with the opening.
