Systems and methods are disclosed that employ several or numerous factors in the determination of a glycemic urgency index (GUI), which may be based on a measured blood glucose level as well as other factors. The other factors may include time derivatives of the glucose level and/or other factors, e.g., user - entered data, data measured by other sensors or received from a network source, or historical data. The GUI is then presented to the user in an interesting way, e.g., via a background color or other inconspicuous notifier, e.g., on a mobile device such as a smart phone. The GUI may also be employed in the triggering of actionable alerts and alarms on an electronic device for the user. The GUI, or another index calculated from combinations of the variables and parameters described, may further be employed to drive a medicament delivery device such as a pump. 0) E r-~ cz1 < <1 00 0I C\j _r _r *o 'o ii I 10 * ID C) C)C) )CDC C* I' )U' D *o :1 * l/w :1onE ...

Multilead ecg template-derived residua for arrhythmia risk assessment

A method and system for predicting the onset of heart arrhythmias more accurately observes trends in abnormal or pathologic morphology of the electrocardiogram (ECG). A first set of ECG signals is monitored from a patient. A baseline measurement is generated from the monitored first set of ECG signals to contain nonpathologic ECG morphologies in each lead. A second set of ECG signals is monitored from the patient and the baseline measurement is subtracted from the second set of ECG signals on a beat-to-beat basis. Afterwards, a residuum signal is generated for each lead based on the subtraction. R-wave heterogeneity, T-wave heterogeneity, P-wave heterogeneity, or ST-segment heterogeneity or other indicators of arrhythmia risk or myocardial ischemia are quantified based on the generated residuum signals.

Various patient monitoring systems can include a sensor configured to collect three dimensional information. The systems can identify a location of a patient support surface based on the three dimensional information. The systems can set a two dimensional planar threshold based on the patient support surface. The systems can identify a patient location above the patient support surface based on the three dimensional information and compare the patient location to the two dimensional planar threshold. Exceeding the threshold can be indicative of a high risk of a patient fall. An alert can be generated based on the threshold being exceeded. The systems can repeat the identification of the patient support surface location and the setting of the threshold to account for changes in the patient area. 132-. (canceled)33. A patient monitoring system for monitoring a patient area , the system comprising:a sensor configured to output a plurality of frames, the plurality of frames containing three dimensional pixel information of the patient area;a user interface; and receive the three dimensional pixel information of the plurality of frames;', 'identify a location and dimensions of a patient support surface based on the three dimensional pixel information;', 'set at least one threshold that is extended above, below, or vertically beyond the location and dimensions of the patient support surface;', 'determine a repositioning of the patient support surface;', 'adjust the at least one threshold based on the repositioning of the patient support surface;', 'identify one or more patient locations based on the three dimensional pixel information;', 'compare the one or more patient locations to the at least one threshold; and', 'generate an output with the user interface based on the one or more patient locations traversing the at least one threshold., 'control circuitry configured to34. The patient monitoring system of claim 33 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to:detect ...
