This invention provides a vessel system and methodology that can be used to promote growth of phytoplankton in the oceans. Unmanned self-controlled wave-powered vessels are equipped with storage units for dispensing a fertilizer, and with sensors to monitor ocean conditions and effects. Fleets of vessels move autonomously by on-board processing of GPS and directional information, piloting a path that is coordinated by a central processing unit. The vessels travel through a defined target area, creating a detailed survey of chemical and biological characteristics that affect grown. The data are processed in a computer model to identify precise locations and precise amounts of fertilizer that will produce the best results. Projected benefits of fertilizing plankton include sequestering C02 from the atmosphere, and enhancing the marine food chain to improve the fish stock in and around the treated area.

A braking system for waterborne propeller driven vessel which, upon activating a brake pedal or similar actuation device causes the vessel to almost immediately stop its forward movement. The system initiates a burst of highly amplified horsepower and torque, created by a controlled pulse of electrical power released from a bank of fully charged ultracapacitors. This pulse of electrical power is sent directly to AC induction-driven motors, causing oversized propellers to immediately rotate astern, thereby generating a reverse thrust in opposition to the vessel's forward movement sufficient to stop the vessel. The horsepower and torque produced by the braking system and operation of the present invention will also cause the oversize propellers to transmit this tremendous power into the water, without cavitation, to assist in stopping vessel movement.

The present invention relates to a robot hand and a working robot system using the same. According to the present invention, the robot hand comprises: a palm in contact with at least part of a target object; a plurality of fingers fastened to the palm; a plurality of motors to generate rotary force bending the fingers to grip the object; and a plurality of tendons connecting the fingers to the motors, respectively, thereby using the rotary force of the motor to bend or unfold the fingers. The palm includes: hand bone parts corresponding to a number to separately install each finger; and finger joints corresponding to a number to connect each hand bone part and each finger to be able to rotate. Any one of the hand bone parts is installed to be able to perform linear and sliding motion on the palm together with a bending operation of the fingers when the motor is rotated, so as to realize the bending operation of the fingers while moving to a position close to the target object. A palm sensor to detect the object is installed in the palm to generate an operation signal for the motors and a finger sensor to detect contact of the object is installed in each finger to generate an operation control signal for the motors. As such, provided are advantages capable of stably griping an object with various sizes and capable of allowing a user to easily control a work through motion of an arm.
