A ventilating fan includes a sirocco fan disposed in a box-shaped body and an adapter connected to an air outlet of the sirocco fan. The sirocco fan is composed of two opposite scroll plates with scroll shapes and a casing plate sandwiched between the two scroll plates. An overall air inlet of the sirocco fan is disposed on the first scroll plate and a central line of the air outlet of the adapter is offset towards the second scroll plate. The present invention is advantageous in that no turbulence is generated at the adapter and the wind amount of the ventilating fan is thus ensured and noise is reduced. Therefore, the present invention can provide a small air blowing device with high efficiency and improve stability of performance of the product.

An turbocharger includes a parallel twin-impeller compressor and separate inlets into the two impellers. A first or outboard impeller receives one stream of inlet air and a second or inboard impeller receives its own separate stream of inlet air by way of a generally annular inlet volute surrounding the inlet to the second impeller. Air is fed from the inlet volute radially inwardly through a feed passage to the inlet to the second impeller. A plurality of inlet guide vanes are located in the feed passage for the second impeller, the inlet guide vanes creating a swirling air stream into the second impeller. Introduction of swirl to the second impeller alters the flow distribution between the impellers and affects the stability of the overall stage.

A centrifugal compressor for a turbocharger includes an inlet-adjustment mechanism in an air inlet for the compressor, operable to move between a closed position, an open position, and a super-open position. The compressor also includes a ported shroud system. A turbocharger compressor includes an inlet-adjustment mechanism operable to move between an open position and a closed position. The mechanism includes a plurality of movable blades disposed about the compressor air inlet and located between an upstream wall surface and a downstream wall surface of an annular space within the air inlet wall. The blades move radially inward from the annular space into the air inlet when the blades are in the closed position so as to form an orifice of reduced diameter relative to a nominal diameter of the inlet. Recirculation of air upstream through the mechanism is prevented by a downstream blade seal. When EGR is employed, an upstream blade seal is included, preventing oil-laden air from migrating into the mechanism. The blade seals can be of various types, including O-ring seals or labyrinth seals.

A turbo fan includes a main plate rotated by power provided from a fan motor, blades each having one end connected to the main plate to perform rotation movement, and a shroud having an inner circumferential part and an outer circumferential part, an other end of each of the blades connected to the shroud. The shroud includes a plurality of curved parts each having one side connected to the inner circumferential part and an other side connected to the outer circumferential part, the plurality of curved parts each having a predetermined curvature. 1. A turbo fan comprising:a main plate rotated by power provided from a fan motor;a plurality of blades, each blade having one end connected to the main plate to perform rotation movement; anda shroud having an inner circumferential part and an outer circumferential part, an other end of each of the blades connected to the shroud,wherein the shroud comprises:a plurality of curved parts, each curved part having one side connected to the inner circumferential part and an other side connected to the outer circumferential part, the plurality of curved parts each having a predetermined curvature.2. The turbo fan according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of curved parts comprises a mountain part spaced away from the main plate.3. The turbo fan according to claim 2 , wherein the plurality of curved parts comprise a first curved part and a second curved part disposed adjacent to the first curved part claim 2 ,a valley part disposed on a boundary surface between the first curved part and the second curved part, the valley part being disposed spaced closer to the main plate than the mountain part; andan inclined part connecting the mountain part to the valley part, the inclined part having the predetermined curvature.4. A radial compressor has an iris diaphragm mechanism for a pressure-charging device of an internal combustion engine.
