... 본 발명은 TENC1(Tensin like C1 domain containing phosphatase)의 활성 억제제를 유효성분으로 포함하는 당뇨병성 신증의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서는 TENC1의 발현이 당뇨병의 신장조직이나 고혈당상황을 준 사구체 발세포주에서 증가함을 확인하였고, TENC1의 티로신 인산가수분해효소(PTPase) 활성이 네프린(nephrin)의 인산화를 억제하여 발세포의 여과도에 영향을 주고 결과적으로 발세포 비대증을 유도한다는 것을 실험적으로 증명함으로써 당뇨병성 신증 치료의 새로운 표적을 제시하였다. 이에, 본 발명에 따른 TENC1 활성 억제제를 유효성분으로 포함하는 약학적 조성물은 TENC1에 의한 네프린의 탈인산화를 억제함으로써 당뇨병성 신증의 초기단계에서부터 손상이 유도되는 발세포를 보호하고 이의 구조 및 여과기능을 유지시킬 수 있으므로 당뇨병성 신증의 초기단계에서부터 예방 또는 치료에 폭넓게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
