Из листового металла получают штучную заготовку с участками под рукоятку и зевы гаечного ключа, с фигурными контурами противолежащих сторон и утолщением концевого участка, на котором расположен отросток, выполняющий функцию клещевины. Заготовку нагревают в проходном индукторе до температуры горячей штамповки, ориентируют в установленном на выходе из индуктора питателе и выдают на позицию, расположенную параллельно месту соударения половин штампа, установленного на молот. Заготовку, которую удерживают захватом, перемещают цепным механизмом в рабочее пространство молота, а питатель отводят на исходную позицию. A beam-type transfer mechanism for moving workpieces step by step along a row of stations through the dies of a press to progressively form a blank into a finished part. A pair of laterally spaced beams extend parallel to the row of stations, having opposed work holding fixtures cooperable to grip the workpiece. The beams are movable in operation laterally toward and away from each other, vertically up and down, and longitudinally, to simultaneously advance the workpieces one step at a time from station to station. The dies would ordinarily be removable and replaceable through the front of the press except for one of the beams which occupies and obstructing position throughout its entire operative movement. Means are provided to lift the beams sufficiently to enable the removal and replacement of the dies through the front of the press without obstruction.

Freigeben eines Werkstücks zugeordnet. Die Greifwerkzeuge weisen je zwei mittels des jeweiligen Greifwerkzeugantriebs linear aufeinander zu und voneinander weg bewegbare Zangenarme (32a, 32b) auf. Die Greifwerkzeugantriebe sind jeweils elektrisch oder hydraulisch servogeregelt ausgebildet. Greifzangen mit linear aufeinander zu bzw. voneinander weg bewegbaren Zangenarmen (32a, 32b) haben gegenüber Greifzangen mit schwenkbaren Zangenarmen den Vorteil, dass sie gleichmässig in den Greifdurchmesser eintauchen und beidseits im selben Winkel am Werkstück angreifen können. Beim Vorliegen einer Prozessstörung wird der Transportzyklus unterbrochen und die Greifwerkzeuge mit den Werkstücken werden in eine Warteposition (27), in welcher die Werkstücke ausserhalb des Wirkungsbereichs von Bearbeitungswerkzeugen der Stufen der Bearbeitungseinrichtung sind, bewegt. Nach Wegfall der Prozessstörung wird der Transportzyklus der Werkstücke wieder aufgenommen. Durch die Bewegung der Greifwerkzeuge in eine sichere Warteposition ausserhalb des Wirkungsbereichs der Bearbeitungswerkzeuge der Stufen können Folgeschäden der Prozessstörung verhindert werden. In a transport method for transferring workpieces between a plurality of successive stations of a processing device, especially a forming device, workpieces are in each case transported from one station to the respective next station of the processing device simultaneously by means of a plurality of gripping tools which are movable jointly in a transport cycle. In the event of a process disturbance, the transport cycle is suspended and the gripping tools with the workpieces are moved into a waiting position in which the workpieces are outside the operating range of processing tools of the stations of the processing device. Hollow driving center has a small cylinder with teeth at the end in the front, a large cylinder in the middle part, with grooves without back walls, and a shank in the rear. End of the small cylinder is tilted toward the big cylinder. Preliminary machine work is carried out to obtain at the end face of the cylinder a leading part of the preform-liner pipe separating the annular cavities from the axial hole of the preform-pipe. When fastening the leading part of the workpiece-pipe in the hollow lead center, the shank without a gap is placed in the cavity, which is performed on the end face of the small cylinder of the hollow driving center.
