Реферат: A device for shielding the space surrounding one or more lying surfaces against the entry of flies is proposed, which device guarantees a large freedom of movement for the people resting, is easy to assemble and is removable and can be assigned to a lying surface in a stationary manner for any length of time without impairing the accessibility to the lying surface. This is achieved according to the invention in that the device comprises two A-shaped or similarly designed support frames which are arranged spaced apart one behind the other and are mechanically connected to one another in their ridge region by at least one longitudinal bar, an arm of a U-shaped bow being mounted at least on an identically oriented limb of each support frame so as to be pivotable and in such a way that its longitudinal strut extends at least approximately parallel to the longitudinal bar connecting the two support frames to one another, and the unit thus formed bears a net which completely surrounds the lying surface (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
