Реферат: 1,017,957. Soldering. G. YGFORS. Nov. 13, 1963, No. 44812/63. Heading B3R. An electric soldering iron comprises a bit 1, Fig. 1 (not shown), carried on a front part 7 of a shaft and a connecting means between the front part of the shaft and a rear shaft part of heat insulating material, the connecting means comprising a flange of heat insulating material to which the front shaft part is connected at a group of spaced points and to which the rear shaft part is connected at a further group of spaced points, the points of the first group being spaced from those of the second group. The bit 1 is located in a copper, iron or aluminium sleeve 2 on which is wound, with interposed mica, a layer of resistance wire 4 covered with an insulating layer 5 of asbestos or glass fibre, the assembly being fixed in an iron sleeve 6. The two-part perforated sheet iron front part 7 of the shaft is of U cross-section and is soldered or welded to the sleeve 6 and to a copper or iron flange 12 and the flange 12 is secured to a heat insulating flange 40 by three screws 41 which engage part-way into nuts 19a, 19b, 19c secured to the flange 40 by screws 43. An insulating flange 20 integral with or connected to an inner insulating member 22 in the rear part of the shaft is riveted to the flange 40 by rivets 44 located between the screws 43. Tubes 15a, 15b provided in the upper shaft part for the supply conductors are received in poles in the upper end of the member 22 which terminate in channels in the outer surface of the member 22. A lamp 28 is arranged in a recess in the member 22 and is visible through an insulating sleeve 30 surrounding the member 22, which sleeve has a flange 34 in contact with or spaced from the flange 20.
