[Addition to 21,898/10.] Assembling matrices.-Relates to the arrangement described in the parent Specification for composing from multi-face matrices, wherein the movement of the assembler 6 towards the channel 10 may be arrested at different levels so as to bring the line of matrices 1 on to the guide 18 or 19 according to the face required. To provide means whereby the spacers 25 may be brought on to a single horizontal guide 27 in the channel 10, the spacer-guide 26 on the assembler is adjustable vertically through a distance equal to that between the guides 18, 19. This adjustment renders unnecessary the inclined guides for bringing down the high spacers shown in Specification 12,453/09. The guide 26 may be adjusted by means of a handle 28 having an eccentric pin 29 engaging a slot 32 in a slide 31 formed in the guide 26. The arrest of the assembler in the higher or lower position is effected by the engagement of the guide 26, or of a part connected thereto, with a fixed stop 9. In a modification, the guide 26 may be pivoted at the right end on a transverse axis, so that the top end may be moved to register with the guide 18 or 19. The guide 26 may be provided on both sides of the assembler.
