The apparatus of the parent Specification for casting concrete floor and wall panels for multi-storey buildings is modified by employing L-shaped mould panel members 111 in a chevron arrangement whereby joints are avoided at the corners of the moulded building panels when assembled. Means are provided for varying the length of the arms of the mould panels, one arm of which may also be completely blocked to produce a flat panel. The concrete skip supporting gantry 122 of the parent Specification, which runs on rail members 120, 121 provided above the upper surfaces of the mould panel members, is supplied with skips from a source of mixed concrete 112 spaced from the battery of moulds 110 and connected to the gantry by the arms 115, 116 of a mono- or multi-rail system 113. The gantry framework is provided with gantry rails 130, 131 parallel to the arms of the L-shaped mould and which are in sliding contact with the rail members 120, 121 whereby, as the gantry 122 traverses the moulds a skip traverses the gantry rails 130, 131 (which may be connected together to form one end of a closed loop) for discharge into a limb of the battery 110 wherein the concrete is compacted by the vibrator of the parent Specification. More than one skip may sequentially be employed or each of the gantry rails 130, 131 may simultaneously be served by a separate skip. The mono-rail system of Specifications 577,882 and 583,760 may be employed. A number of batteries can be supplied from a common source which may be provided at ground level supplying the gantry by an inclined track or, with a horizontal track, the battery is located in a pit.
