Реферат: Long distance ski safety binding with a front binding section holding the front end of the boot sole in a tensioned condition and turable around an axis vertical to the ski against a release resistance or alterantively permitting a corresponding turning movement of the tensioned booth. The safety binding is equipped with a release mechanism which operates to overcome the release resistance when an excessive torsion force is applied to the skiboot. The booth holding devices n16, 17) which firmly hold a projection of the front boot sole under tension form a part of the binding section and are held under full holding tension by the release devices (24) producing the release resistance which are separate from the boot holding devices of the binding section. Only after that turning angle has been exceeded is the tension released to open the release devices and to free the skiboot.
