Реферат: 9313. Lõrn, T. April 21, 1906, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Matches.-Stems for wax matches are made with single wooden cores and longitudinal cotton threads, without binding threads, the wood being cut from veneer of nearly the same thickness as the finished stems. Long veneer strips glued end to end are unwound from a large drum b and pass through guides e, g and feeding rollers f to a number of parallel circular saws h, which divide them into narrow strips. These are separated by diverging guides i and led together with longitudinal threads drawn from bobbins k through one or more coating-baths m, n of paraffin or stearin, finally being wound on a collecting-drum c.
