Powder-puffs.-Consists in making powderpuffs from compressed wool or like skeins enclosed in a destructible tube, by attaching one end to a suitable backing and allowing the other end to expand. Preferably, the skeins are compressed in paper tubes b cut to suitable lengths and removed after attachment. One or more of such tubes may be mounted on the handle c, as shown in Figs. 4 and 9. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) comprises also a form in which a longer skein is mounted in a hollow handle so that it can be fed forward as the free end becomes unsuitable for use, refills being provided. In another form, the skein in use can be withdrawn into the handle when desired. Modifications are also described of the mode of attachment, and it is stated that double-faced puffs can be formed. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
