Chairs. - Relates to deck, hammock, and like folding chairs having a main frame a and a pivoted supporting-frame b, the invention being applicable also to such chairs when made more elaborately or padded. A cross - bar f of the suitably - shaped pivoted seat-supporting frame e is adapted from the front or the back of the chair to be engaged adjustably with the notches of one or more bars or the like c pivoted to the frame b, one or more links or the like d preferably being provided. The chair is locked in the adjusted position by the weight of the user, and is so constructed as to obviate the liability of tripping persons passing it, and so as to fold into one plane. Arms, awnings, &c. may be fitted to it.
