Roof truss tensioning frame - has tie rods and suspension straps supporting horizontal connection between bottoms of rafters
Реферат: A roof truss has two sloping wooden roof rafters (1) connected at the top by a gusset plate (5) and at the bottom by a horizontal square section metal tubular tie bar (6). Also connected between the gusset and the junction points (7, 8) between the tie bar and the rafters are two tie rods (4). These are held away from the rafters by pairs (2, 3) of struts, each pair forming a triangle with a portion of the rafter. Between the junction of each pair with the tie rod, is a vertical strap (13) which supports the horizontal tie bar (6). The whole system is held in tension, and the weight of a ceiling (12) is supported if this is attached to the tie bars. The vertical strap has a plate welded on top and bottom, with a turnbuckle between them.
