Реферат: The invention relates to a method for controlling the torque which is transmitted in a vehicle (V). Said method includes a step (i) of estimating, when the vehicle (V) is travelling at a substantially constant speed, the variation in the speed thereof over time in the absence of transmitted torque on the basis of data that are representative of the slopes of a road that the vehicle will take, followed by determining whether the speed estimated at the end of a threshold time period will be higher than a minimum speed, strictly lower than said substantially constant speed; and a step (ii) of triggering the transmission of torque to be stopped when said speed estimated at the end of a threshold time period is higher than the minimum speed, and then enabling the transmission of torque when the speed of the vehicle (V), in the absence of transmitted torque, becomes equal to the minimum speed, so that the vehicle V can return to the substantially constant speed.
