Реферат: ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process for improving the activity of tellurium containing metal oxide catalysts useful as catalysts for oxidation, ammoxidation or oxidative dehydrogenation of organic compounds by heating the catalysts together with a tellurium containing solid to a temperature up to about 900°C in a gaseous atmosphere. The process can be effec-tively applied not only to deteriorated or spent catalysts, the activity of which has been deteriorated due to use for a long period of time, but also to fresh catalysts. The tellurium containing solid used as an activity improving agent may be a member selected from the group consisting of (i) tellurium; oxides, hydroxides and organic compounds of tellurium; or those supported on an inert carrier, (ii) tellurium and a compound of at least one member selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, lanthanum, cerium, molybdenum, vanadium, niobium, chromium, tungsten, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium, titanium, boron, aluminum, gallium, germanium, tin, lead, phosphorus, arsenic, anti-mony, bismuth, sulfur and selenium, and preferably molyb-denum, or a mixture of these compounds and/or those sup-ported on an inert carrier, and (iii) tellurium enriched catalysts prepared by adding a Te component or a Te compo-nent and a Mo component to metal oxide catalysts (which are fresh catalysts or deteriorated catalysts). In a particu-larly preferred embodiment, the process for improving the activity according to the present invention can be carried out by contacting said tellurium containing metal oxide catalysts with the tellurium containing solid in a fluidi-zed-bed. More preferably, the contact is carried out during the oxidation, ammoxidation or oxidative dehydroge-nation reaction.
