BATTERY MONITORING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery monitoring device that controls a monitoring IC with a micro-computer and prevents unstable operation of the monitoring IC occurring before start of the micro-computer.

SOLUTION: The battery monitoring device includes a monitoring IC 21 which operates with power supplied from a battery pack 1 constituted by connecting a plurality of battery cells 10 in series; a switching unit 22 for switching the power supply state from the battery pack 1 to the monitoring IC 21 between a permission state and a blocked state; and a micro-computer 24 which controls each of the monitoring IC 21 and switching unit 22. The micro-computer 24, at its starting, switches the power supply state from the battery pack 1 to the monitoring IC 21 from the blocked state to the permission state with the switching unit 22.
