Sealed rotary compressor

This application provides a sealed rotary compressor capable of reducing the noise level and the size, and ensuring the separation of gas and oil without any difficulties. The compressor has an electric motor 2 including: a stator 4 fixed in an inner wall of the sealed casing 1, a rotor 5 rotatably supported by a rotor shaft 6 within the stator 4, a stator core 74 for forming the stator, a plurality of teeth and slots formed in the stator, and stator windings 7 directly wound around each one of the teeth and disposed in the slots, to constitute a motor with concentrated pole winding type. As a result, the dimension of the protrusion of the stator winding above the stator core is minimized, and the separation of oil is improved.
