The present invention provides a DNA aptamer specifically binding to periostin, a composition for inhibiting cancer and/or cancer metastasis, and a composition for diagnosing cancer and/or cancer metastasis, wherein the composition contains the DNA aptamer as an active ingredient. The aptamer is characterized in that it has a binding mechanism that differs from conventional antibodies, thus making it possible to more effectively inhibit and diagnose cancer/cancer metastasis.
