The present invention relates to a photovoltaic cell (PV) and a manufacturing method thereof. According to various embodiments of the present invention, light transmittance can be ensured through a scribing region essentially formed while manufacturing a photovoltaic module in a CIGS thin film PV manufactured on a transparent conductive electrode, wherein the scribing region is a part of the PV which can be transmitted with light. Moreover, the degree of light transmittance can be adjusted according to designs of the module (P1, P2, P3, a width and spacing of scribing, etc.), and sufficient light transmission is possible through 10% empty space due to scribing. Further, by using a mask to deposit a high conductivity non-transparent electrode on the transparent conductive electrode, a composite rear conductive layer film is manufactured, thereby minimizing reduction in efficiency of the photovoltaic cell caused by using only a transparent conductive rear electrode.
