According to the present invention, provided is a method for manufacturing environment-friendly ignition coal having reduced poisonous gas, the method comprising the steps of: chipping wood into a predetermined size or less by using an industrial chipper; performing heat processing on wood material, obtained after the chipping step, at a treatment temperature ranging 150 to 400 degrees Celsius for a predetermined period of time so that a carbon content of the wood material is equal to or more than 55 wt% and is equal to or less than 80 wt%; grinding the wood material having passed through the heat processing step into wood flour by introducing the wood material into a grinder; and mixing the thermally processed wood flour having passed through the grinding step with a natural bonding agent to thus form a mixture, injecting the mixture into a die or a mold press, and compressively molding and drying the mixture.
