A process to form a functionalized ethylene-based polymer composition comprises reacting an ethylene-based polymer composition in at least one extruder with at least one functionalization agent and at least one free radical initiator at a melt temperature of greater than or equal to 200° C. The functionalized ethylene-based polymer composition has a yellowness index (YI) value of less than or equal to 45 and a functionalization content of greater than or equal to 2.0 wt %, based on the weight of the functionalized ethylene-based polymer composition. 1. The instant invention provides polyethylene compositions having reduced plate out, and films made therefrom having reduced blooming. The polyethylene composition suitable for film applications according to the present invention comprises the melt blending product of: (a) an ethylene based polymer; (b) a first antioxidant system comprising one or more antioxidants selected from the group consisting of Octadecyl-3-(3,5-di-tert.butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propionate; Pentaerythritol Tetrakis(3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate); and combinations thereof; (c) a second antioxidant system comprising a liquid phosphite corresponding to the formula [4-(2-methylbutan-2-yl)phenyl]x[2,4-bis(2-methylbutan-2-yl)phenyl]3-x phosphate, wherein x = 0, 1, 2, 3, or combinations thereof; and (d) optionally one or more neutralizing agents.

The instant invention provides polyethylene compositions having reduced plate out, and films made therefrom having reduced blooming. The polyethylene composition suitable for film applications according to the present invention comprises the melt blending product of: (a) an ethylene based polymer; (b) a first antioxidant system comprising one or more antioxidants selected from the group consisting of Octadecyl-3-(3,5-di-tert.butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propionate; Pentaerythritol Tetrakis (3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate); and combinations thereof; (c) a second antioxidant system comprising a liquid phosphite corresponding to the formula [4-(2-methylbutan-2-yl)phenyl]x[2,4-bis(2-methylbutan-2-yl)phenyl]3-x phosphate, wherein x=0, 1, 2, 3, or combinations thereof; and (d) optionally one or more neutralizing agents. 1. The present invention provides resins that can be used as a tie layer in a multilayer structure and to multilayer structures comprising one or more tie layers formed from such resins. In one aspect, a resin for use as a tie layer in a multilayer structure comprises a maleic anhydride grafted polyolefin, and an inorganic Brønsted acid catalyst. POLYMERIC MIXTURES FOR USE IN MULTILAYER STRUCTURES AND MULTILAYER STRUCTURES COMPRISING THE SAME The present invention provides polymeric blends that can be used in a multilayer structure and multilayer structures comprising one or more layers formed from such blends. In one aspect, a polymer blend comprises a copolymer comprising ethylene and at least one of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid having an acid content of greater than 4 and up to 25 weight percent based on the weight of the copolymer and having a melt index ( I2) from 1 to 60 g/10 minutes, wherein the total amount of ethylene acrylic acid copolymer and ethylene methacrylic acid copolymer comprises 45 to 99 weight percent of the mixture based on the total weight of the mixture, and a polyolefin having a density of 0.870 g/cm 3 or more and having a melt index (I 2 ) of 20 g/10 minutes or less, wherein the polyolefin comprises 1 to 55 percent by weight of the blend based on the total weight of the blend.

A filled thermoplastic olefin composition comprising (a) a first polypropylene having (i) substantially isotactic propylene sequences, (ii) a narrow molecular weight distribution, and (iii) a broad composition distribution, and (b) at least about 20 percent by volume filler based on the total volume of the composition. Optionally, the composition can comprise a second polypropylene different for the first polypropylene, both polypropylenes preferably propylene/α-olefin copolymers. The filler can be organic or inorganic, and the compositions are useful as, among other applications, protective coverings for wire and cable.
